Araştırmacılar, Samanyolu Galaksisi’nde 6 gezegenin senkronize hareket ettiği bir güneş sistemi keşfetti. Gezegenlerin hiçbirinin sistemin güneşine yaşama elverişli bir uzaklıkta bulunmadığı için Dünya’ya 100 ışık yılı uzaklıktaki sistemde yaşam olmadığı tahmin ediliyor.
Amerika Ulusal Havacılık ve Uzay Dairesi (NASA) ve Avrupa Uzay Ajansı (ESA) astronomları, Samanyolu Galaksisi’nde 6 gezegeninin senkronize hareket ettiği bir güneş sistemi gözlemledi. Astronomlar, milyarlarca yıldır dış etmenlere maruz kalmadan var olmayı başarabilmiş ve tamamıyla senkronize halde hareket eden bir güneş sistemi keşfetti. Güneş sisteminin keşfi için NASA’nın Geçiş Halindeki Öte Gezegen Araştırma Uydusu (TESS) ve ESA’nın CHEOPS Teleskobu kullanıldı.
Dünya’nın da içerisinde olduğu Samanyolu Galaksisi’nde yer alan bu güneş sistemi, gezegenimize 100 ışık yılı uzaklıkta bulunuyor. En içteki gezegen en yakın komşusunun her iki yörüngesine karşılık üç yörünge tamamlıyor. Bu durumun ikinci ve üçüncü en yakın gezegenler ile üçüncü ve dördüncü en yakın gezegenler için de aynı olmasından dolayı gezegenlerin hepsi yörüngelerinde senkronize bir hareketle ilerliyor.
Yaşam olmadığı düşünülüyor
Araştırmacılar, gezegenlerin hiçbirinin sistemin güneşine yaşama elverişli bir uzaklıkta bulunmadığı için sistemde yaşam olmadığını tahmin ediyor. Sistemin merkezinde bulunan HD 110067 adlı güneşin başka gezegenleri olabileceğini düşünen araştırmacılar, şimdiye kadar keşfedilmiş gezegenlerin güneş etrafındaki bir tam turlarının 9 ile 54 gün arasında değiştiğini aktardı. Araştırmacılar, bizim güneş sistemimiz dahil tüm sistemlerin bu senkronize halde oluştuğunu ve sonrasında göktaşları gibi dış etmenler sonucu gezegenlerin hareketlerinin değiştiğini tahmin ederken, her 100 sistemden 1’inin senkronize hareketi koruduğunu kaydetti. Araştırmanın yazarlarından Enric Palle, senkronize hareket eden yaklaşık 50 güneş sisteminin keşfedildiğini ancak hiçbirinin HD 110067 kadar çok gezegeni olmadığını belirtti. Keşif sonuçları ve araştırmanın detayları Nature dergisinde yayımlandı.
