Ulusal Birlik Partisi (UBP) Genel Sekreteri ve Gazimağusa Milletvekili Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, Avrupa Konseyi Parlamenterler Asamblesi’nin Paris’te düzenlenen Komite toplantılarına katıldı.
Kültür, Bilim, Eğitim ve Medya Komisyonu’nun gündeminde olan “olimpiyatların barış süreçlerine etkisi” ve “sporun bağımsızlığı spor değerlerine hizmet edip etmediği” ile ilgili konuda, KKTC gençliğine uygulanan ambargolar hakkında Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu bir konuşma yaptı.
Rapörtörlüğünü Romen Milletvekili Denisa Neagu’nun yaptığı toplantıda, Olimpiyatların Barış sürecine etkisi konusunda, spor hukuku uzmanı İtalyan Profesör Luigi Melica’nın sunumundan sonra, Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu söz aldı.
Hasipoğlu, “Spora siyaset karıştırılmaması noktasında, bu komite toplantısında bulunan herkesin hemfikir olmasına rağmen, Kıbrıs Türk halkına, özellikle gençlerine uygulanan haksız kısıtlamalara sessiz kalmamanızı sizlerden talep ediyorum. Kıbrıs Türk gençliği insanlık dışı ambargoları hak etmiyor” dedi.
Hasipoğlu devamla, “Annan Planı referandumunun üzerinden 19 yıl geçti. Bize verilen sözlerin tutulmasını ve ambargoların kaldırılmasını istiyoruz. BM ve Avrupa Birliği (AB) üyesi ülkeleri, o dönemde referanduma ‘evet’ oyu veren halkın ödüllendirilecekleri ve izolasyonların kaldırılacağı yönünde yaptıkları açıklamalara rağmen, AB’nin çifte standart uyguladığı açıktır. Bu komite aracılığı ile verilen sözlerin tutulmasını ve olimpik kurallar gereği Kıbrıs Türk gençlerinin olimpiyatlara katılmasının önünün açılması için Konseye çağrıda bulunmayı davet ediyoruz” şeklinde konuştu.
Hasipoğlu, konuşmasında, Olimpiyat Anayasası’nda bahsi geçen “Spor faaliyetlerine katılmak bir insan hakkıdır. Her birey herhangi bir ayrımcılığa maruz kalmaksızın, Olimpiyat ruhu içerisinde spor yapma olasılığına sahip olmalıdır. Bunu yapmak için dostluk, dayanışma ve fair-play anlayışının hâkim olması gerekmektedir. Irk, din, siyaset, cinsiyet veya başka nedenle herhangi bir ülke ya da kişiye karşı ayrımcılık yapılması Olimpiyat kurallarına aykırıdır”’ maddelerini hatırlattı.
Kıbrıslı Türk sporcuların uluslararası müsabaka ve turnuvalarda yer almak için heyecan duyduklarını belirten Hasipoğlu, sporcularına bu kapıyı açmak için ellerinden geleni yapacaklarını, bu yöndeki girişimlerinin Avrupa konseyi ve parlamentosu dahil farklı platformlarda süreceğini kaydetti.
