24 Kasım Öğretmenler günü kapsamında iki ayrı panel şeklinde gerçekleşen ve gün boyu devam eden etkinliğin açılış konuşmasını LAÜ Dr. Fazıl Küçük Eğitim Fakültesi Dekanı Prof. Dr. Nergüz Bulut Serin yaptı.
Serin açılış konuşmasında, panele katılan herkese teşekkürlerini ileterek, konuşmasını şöyle sürdürdü;
“Başöğretmen Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün ‘Öğretmenler; yeni nesli, Cumhuriyetin fedakâr öğretmen ve eğitimcileri sizler yetiştireceksiniz, yeni nesil, sizin eseriniz olacaktır!’ sözü bize hala ışık tutmaktadır. Bir öğretmenin en önemli özelliği, sevgi dolu yüreği ve adanmışlık ruhudur. Cumhuriyetin yüzüncü yılında Öğretmen; Cumhuriyet değerlerini taşıyan, demokratik tutum gösteren ve sürekli kendisini yenileyen, doğruya ve güzelliğe yönelten, yaşam boyu öğrenmeye inanan yol gösterici, geleceğe güvenle gülümseten. Hiçbir zaman mücadeleyi elden bırakmamayı, daima umut etmeyi, pes etmemeyi ve ne olursa olsun tüm gücümüzle bütün zorluklara direnmeyi öğretendir. Dr. Fazıl Küçük Eğitim Fakültesi öğretim üyelerinden Prof. Dr. Ahmet Güneyli’nin moderatörlüğünü yaptığı “Cumhuriyet Öğretmeni Olmak” konulu ikinci panele, fakülte akademisyenleri Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Ataman ve Yrd. Doç. Dr. Çağda Çağanağa, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Ortaokulu Müdürü Oğuz Coşan, LAÜ Mezunu Mürüvvet Özuysal Cebeci’nin sunumları yer aldı.
Fakülte öğrencilerinin akademisyenleri ile hazırladığı “Cumhuriyet ve Öğretmen Olmak” temalı video gösterilerinin de yer aldığı programda Rektör Yardımcısı Prof. Dr. Oğuz Serin ve Dr. Fazıl Küçük Eğitim Fakültesi Dekanı Prof. Dr. Nergüz Bulut Serin tarafından katılımcılara teşekkür belgesi takdim edildi.
